representing wealth, good fortune, and longevity. All six are in Great condition!
Wow! This is a very vibrant and striking set of classic vintage Japanese mythology folklore figurines, circa 1960s-1970s. Each colorful figure features overglazed enamels with fanciful raised moriage relief designs in classic Kutani colors of blue, orange, green, and white. The beautiful and complex moriage decoration entails a
raised slip technique which provides a textured, three dimensional finish.
The bright white porcelain base is very fine, and the Kutani decoration superbly executed, finished with 22k gold accents. Please see the detail photos! All seven are in absolute mint condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations.
