Shiebler AESTHETIC Sterling Cream Pitcher MIXED METAL FLY Spider Web

Description

An unusual cylindrical shaped hand hammered antique sterling silver cream pitcher by Shiebler and retailed by Caldwell.  The creamer has an applied three dimensional copper fly and engraved over the hammering with whimsical Japanese figures, plants and a spider web. Circa 1880. Very good condition with a gold washed interior.  Marked with the Shiebler wings, sterling, 266, J E Caldwell & Co. (Philadelphia.)  Height 3 1/2"; Weight 3.8 troy oz.
