Gorham
STERLING 1/4 Lb. Butter Dish Lid in Chantilly-Countess ~ Pattern 1025.
NOTE:
This lid was originally sold as a separate, stand-alone piece, and was never part of a butter dish and lid set.
It remains in an unpolished state.
Seller's unqualified, and not-to-be-relied-upon OPINION is that this item is in near perfect condition, needing polishing only.
Absolutely Beautiful piece of Gorham history.
I wouldn't worry about the exorbitant cost of this item. The truth is, this is an extremely rare and hard-to-find piece of Gorham Silversmiths History in absolute pristine condition. Regretting not getting something when opportunity knocks is usually hurts us more than the initial cost to buy it. Food for thought.
