    Description

Presented is an antique, English Georgian sterling silver creamer or milk pitcher/jug made by Samuel Meriton II of London in 1764. This mid 18th century piece is completely hand crafted and is finely chased with berries and leaves. The body is raised on a pedestal base and the handle is very decorative. The front of the creamer has a monogram of the letter C, which may or may not be the original monogram.
The rim is marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter J for the year 1764 and a maker's mark for Samuel Meriton II.
This piece is in great condition for its age. There are no damages and no repairs.
The creamer measures 3 7/8 inches from handle to spout and is 4 1/2 inches tall.
Weight: 109 grams or 3.8 regular grams.
